Chemical foot mats require solution preparation, concentration and organic-load checks, contact-time control, refill, records, tracking, cleanup, and disposal. Those steps can become harder to keep consistent across multiple entries and shifts. UVZone® uses fixed equipment and an automatic timed cycle, so its operation does not require solution preparation, concentration checks, refill, or liquid disposal. A wet mat process depends on preparation, monitoring, contact time, and maintenance at each applicable entry. Compare that recurring work with the floor space, power, cycle, and maintenance requirements of a fixed station. Keep chemical controls where your facility plan requires them.

Concentration and organic load

Traffic, dilution, and organic load can change the condition of a wet chemical mat. Your procedure needs a defined way to prepare, check, and replace the solution.

Contact time and employee consistency

The process depends on personnel making the required contact with the mat. Your procedure must account for contact time during busy periods, shift changes, and use at multiple entries.

Monitoring and documentation

Concentration checks, refill timing, observed contact time, and other required records must reflect the condition of the mat at each entry.

Our footwear sanitizing station uses UV-C and ozone to sanitize both shoe soles in a 6, 8, or 10 second cycle. Automatic weight sensors start the cycle.

Fixed equipment at the selected entry

The station measures 24 by 24 by 2 inches and uses 120-240VAC, 50-60Hz, 1.2A. We review the walking path, door movement, and power location before placement.

How UVZone® works at your facility

Our footwear sanitizing station is designed for normal facility entry. UVZone® activates automatically and provides visual and audible indicators during the treatment cycle.

    Step onto UVZone®

    Position both feet on the designated treatment areas. The automatic weight sensor starts the selected cycle.

  2. 02

    Remain in place for 6 to 10 seconds

    UV-C light and ozone operate together to treat both shoe soles during the 6, 8, or 10 second cycle selected for the entry.

  3. 03

    Continue into the controlled area

    A visual indicator and audible signal tell the user when the cycle is complete and they can continue through the entry.

The dry cycle runs without a liquid reservoir at the station or a disposable cover to remove after the UVZone® step.
